  15.      _p_o_d_d is the server for programs using the Printer Object Database
  16.      library, _l_i_b_p_o_d(_3), to obtain remote printer information.
  17.  
  18.      _p_o_d_d is an RPC based server that is started by _i_n_e_t_d(_1_M).  When a _l_i_b_p_o_d
  19.      standard function is called to provide information about a remote
  20.      printer, the function makes an RPC call to the _p_o_d_d server on the remote
  21.      system. The server then issues the appropriate _l_i_b_p_o_d local function call
  22.      to obtain the requested information and returns it to the RPC client.

  24.      _i_n_e_t_d listens for _l_i_b_p_o_d RPC calls for the program number specified by
  25.      "sgi_pod" in the /_e_t_c/_r_p_c file. When a request is made, _p_o_d_d is started
  26.      by _i_n_e_t_d as specified by the file /_e_t_c/_i_n_e_t_d._c_o_n_f.

  29.      The following command-line options may be specified:

  31.      ----dddd   Runs the server in debugging mode. Debugging information will be
  32.           sent to the console.

  34.      ----llll _l_i_f_e_t_i_m_e
  35.           Specifies that the server should terminate after _l_i_f_e_t_i_m_e seconds of
  36.           inactivity. By default _l_i_f_e_t_i_m_e is 300 seconds (5 minutes).

  39.      Normal server operation produces no diagnostic output. If an error
  40.      occurs, error messages will be written to standard error. Debugging
  41.      information will be written to /_d_e_v/_c_o_n_s_o_l_e if the ----dddd option is
